How is your Mental Health Today?

As I re-join the Social Media World after a short, conscious break from information overload, I’d like to check-in with you.

How are you?

If no one has asked you that for some time, I’m asking you now and please feel free to answer below.

As we begin to emerge from our drastically shrunken Worlds, we may have become unaccustomed to the “live” check-in. It’s easy to hide behind a screen, portray a happy life for the duration of a Zoom call but as we begin to interact again (socially distanced of course!) we begin to experience the sharing of energy in real terms.

Here, the importance of making sure your fellow human is really ok, begins to shake us from our imposed self-centred existence.

It’s easy to rejoice in tales of courage, stamina, of health defeating disease, kindness, community etc. but there have been many untold stories. Stories which are not news-worthy or share-worthy. There is no massive drama, just sadness, fear and despair.

As the bearers of these stories start to mix with society, we must make an effort to feel their energy, their pain; and stand in it with them for a moment. We owe our fellow human that much.

And so, I ask again…How are you?
